Treatment Approach
Dr. Weil has a background in Integrative and Family Medicine and believes the key to wellness is to create a strong foundation that includes a delicate balance between nutrition, movement, and mind-body health.
Dr. Weil’s treatment approach includes incorporating nutrition, herbs, and supplements while optimizing the patient’s foundational pillars of nutrition, movement, and mental/emotional well-being.
Her commitment as a physician is dedicated to exploring the “why” as it relates to the patient, not just the “what”. This focus on the “why” – finding the root cause of illness – is also what drew her to specialize in Integrative Medicine.
Dr. Weil sees patients in person and virtually.

What sets Dr. Weil apart from other medical practitioners/practices?
Dr. Weil prides herself on spending the time to understand and know each of her patients.
Her initial visits can range from 2-3 hours depending on the case complexity.
Her treatment plans are unique, meaning she does not follow standard protocols, but customizes the testing and plan to the person's needs.
Her goal is to use the least amount of supplements, herbs, or medications and only recommend treatments that she feels are absolutely necessary.
Dr. Weil aims to treat the patient not their lab values. She also spends a significant amount of time pre-visit reviewing all the completed forms and past medical records.
Between visits, Dr. Weil reviews testing results in real-time and will notify patients of any significant abnormalities that need to be addressed prior to their follow up visit.
Dr. Weil is available in between visits via portal to answer questions relating to the treatment plan as well as address any challenges that a patient may experience with the recommendations.
Dr. Weil is a solo practitioner and will work with you directly to address all your issues and concerns.

Dr. Weil encourages all her patients to have a primary care doctor.
Does Dr. Weil prescribe medications?
Yes, when and if necessary. Dr. Weil will determine the best plan of care based on each person's unique medical profile and that may include prescribing medications.
Traditional medicine generally looks at the body as a collection of separate systems, each with its own set of diseases. In conventional medicine, doctors look for pattern recognition within symptom presentation to properly name the disease. After naming the disease, they will offer treatment (usually medications) to address the symptoms. Traditional medicine has specialists with each one working in their own silo making it challenging to see possible connections between various body systems and disease processes.
Integrative & Functional medicine views the body as one interconnected system. It also takes into account each person’s unique circumstances, including lifestyle, diet, environment, and genetics. Its foundational pillars include optimizing the person's nutrition, movement, and emotional wellbeing. The person's symptoms and clinical presentation are clues to help the clinician to determine the WHY not just the WHAT of the person's imbalance. It uses both conventional testing methods and some that are not yet recognized by the traditional medical system to give the patient the answer as to the WHY. The treatment plan focuses first on optimizing the foundational pillars and addressing the other imbalances through the use of supplements, herbs, medications (as needed) and other modalities (i.e. acupuncture/nutritional IVs).
